     Compared to the many husbands that are out there I would consider my husband normal. That is, until you mention the words sporting goods! 
     My husband grew up in Alaska where he traipsed through the woods as a youth. Now he tells stories of his outdoors sports adventures from those times. As a boy, he would often go off to the nearby river with his fishing pole and sit happily for hours in the peace of the surrounding wilderness. It sure has given him a nice disposition as he grew into manhood.
     With his birthday coming up I wanted my gift to him to be as original as it was memorable; not the typical fitness equipment and collectables gifts he always receives. As I was contemplating what to get him, I happened to walk into the garage and the first thing that my eyes rested on was some of his well-worn camping gear. It was from then on that I was on a mission to replace his old camping gear with brand new stuff. I went online and found the perfect replacements for much of his camping gear. I could not believe the vast array of camping gear available on online superstores and because of that, the prices were incredible. 
     There was one last thing I had to get the love of my life to make this his most perfect birthday ever. I found an incredible online travel package and purchased a trip to Alaska for him. He is going to be so happily surprised he will probably laugh about it for at least a day. When he returns I have no doubt that he will, with the excitement of a child, tell stories of his most recent traipsing through the woods for years to come!
