camping gear, outdoors sports


     I do not know why, but I can not get enough camping gear. Some people like cars or jewelry, I like camping gear. Sporting goods fill my garage from floor to ceiling. Ofcourse everything is organized by season. All of my friends make fun of me because I have so much, but they don't say a word when I break out an extra sleeping bag or pack that someone might need. I also have a wide variety of outdoors sports equipment: kayaks, skis, quads and snow machines. It might seem like I have a lot but this is what my family does any chance we get so anything to keep us together.


     Next weekend we are going on a 400 mile snow machine poker run. We have been waiting for the kids to get to a certain age before we do this; our youngest is fifteen and can out do me on a snow machine so I think we are ready. When I was growing up I never thought about how important my family would be to me. I never knew that it would be up to my wife and I to make sure everything is smooth and safe when we are camping or playing in the woods. I would not have it any other way.
